Capoeira is a Brazilian cultural term that mixes martial arts, sports, popular culture, dance and music. It was developed in Brazil by descendants of African slaves in the 16th century and is characterized by wounds and agile and complex movements, which use mainly kicks and acobatics. Professor Michael Andrew began practicing capoeira in 1997 at Sumaré-SP in 2008, then emigrated to Europe, where he worked with capoeira deis. Today he is a professor at Capoeira Cordão de Ouro in Brno.
